A trout patch, stitched the same way as everything else I make, on a hand-cranked vintage reproduction Consew chainstitch machine.
Chainstitching uses a continuous loop of thread, which gives the design that slightly raised, textured look you can feel. It’s the same style you’ll see on old workwear and vintage pieces, and it wears in over time instead of breaking down.
Each one is stitched individually, so there’s small variation from piece to piece.
They’re about 4 to 5 inches long. Big enough to stand out, but still easy to place on your waders, fly fishing pack, or your car headliner. Make great gifts for the fly fishers in your life.
Available as iron-on, velcro or sew-on depending on how you want to attach it, or what you want to attach it to.
